Mountain highways, such as Highway 145 near Rico, Colorado, offer some of the most scenic and fun roadways to drive. Even when the weather begins to turn, the landscape offers something special to those travelers intrepid enough to press on, whether it’s snowfall in July or shafts of sunlight cutting through the clouds illuminating a far-off ridgeline.
